A lie agreed upon

DH showed me this today from an American strength coach he is really into.

It's not perfect but it's good to see more men standing up for women's sport and I though GC MNers might appreciate it and felt it worth a share. Might send it to Martina Navratilova on Twitter as he mentions her.

It starts at 28.23

Thanks OP - agree we need more men to speak up. Also think that Martina has been an inspiration.

I watched this earlier on tonight and I really liked his unapologetic, plain speaking approach. I also like the fact that the majority of his audience will presumably be male. We need them to start seeing their peers taking this seriously and considering it a threat.

If "listen for your wife/daughter" doesn't work, you have to hope that "wake up and stop agreeing with nonsense cos it makes you look stupid. Women aren't just like you are they?" will have an effect. Rightly or wrongly.

He has some excellent points.
Perhaps if one of the lower ranking 700 male pro circuit tennis players transitions and consequently beats Serena Williams and dominates the women's game people start to see this lunacy for what it is.

I’ve been talking to DH about this stuff for ages and he does get it. But he really respects this man in terms of his sport and it’s made it more real for him. (Sadly but if it works I’ll take it). Apparently he’s very well known (not to me) and has a huge amount of followers with a high proportion of male followers so he may help to amplify the issue.

I was a bit frustrated when he was saying women need to fight this. Erm...we are! But still I was pleased someone else was speaking up.

Is true but be honest what proportion of feminist do you think aren't swallowing the Kool Aid and what proportion agree with you?
My guess is that the vast majority that have been through university in the last few years are well onboard with it all.
This is the only place I regularly see feminists putting up a fight.

I don’t think that’s true. Most students don’t believe that males can be women. The problem is that they too scared to speak up.

Because MN recognises the need for anonymity in women's lives.

I believe doxxing is something only males seem to do.

Yes I am not openly gender critical at work or in public because I worry about my job. Getting braver though..
