Gym instructor who suggested rape as a punishment for a woman who skipped a gym class sacked. Initial complaint made in January but no action taken till publicity in the past few days.

I've no idea why casual rape threats seem to be a reasonably common "joke" with young men, but another case of a university not caring about female students.

Investigations take months or years until the allegations get onto the front page of The Sun or The Daily Record.

The investigations are then invariably concluded the next day.

Disgraceful it took them so long, but glad they finally did the right thing

The only comment under the article seems to be from a man who thinks it merely proves that Edinburgh Uni doesn't have a sense of humour. Fuckwit.

When I worked in the NHS another employee told me ‘I would love to be gang raped in the laundry room’ and him and another found it hilarious.
Nothing ever came if that.
It may have taken longer, with a publicity help - but Atleast he was fired!

If I knew any men named Gary Allen in my life I would seriously be asking them if that was their comment, and dropping them out of it if so. I would say likely not his real name but...eh, a fuckwit like that probably would use his real name.

Yet another workplace that has a zero tolerance policy ..... except when it is a man doing the thing they supposedly have zero tolerance for. FFS.
