Happy LV day to all you lovely lesbians and allies on MN. Lord knows its getting a bit complicated for us out there so its nice to celebrate the fact that we exist and we are living our lives with a little bit more freedom that when I came out in 1991.

Tonight I will have a g&t and pop "Lucky" by Melissa Etheridge on to celebrate!

Yes they're protesting outside Stonewall's workplace "equality" conference.

Given that there are police officers spendingtaxpayersmoney attending the conference, I do hope that they don't phone their friends to come and harass the protesters.

I hate the term “ally”, especially as in the political usage it seems to mean a country that I will fight alongside until I decide it’s their turn to be bombed.

Happy Lesbian Visibility Day, particularly to my two family members, my lovely neighbours, and all lesbians across the world.

Today I’ve only managed a few posts on social media but I did walk round the doctors in my Lesbian = female homosexual t-shirt. Not a staggering effort I know but it’s better than nowt.

Brilliant work by the protesters outside Stonewall.

There was a petition to Stonewall last October asking them to reconsider their approach to trans because of the conflict with women's and especially lesbians' rights. It got over 8,500 signatures. See also The Times:

Ruth Hunt's response was absolute shite. Stonewall 'do not and will not acknowledge' any conflict between trans and women's rights.

I hate the word ally. It should only be used in wars. Some lesbians are my friends, others aren't, that's because they are people. All are female though.
All the males (xy people, trying not to get censored) proclaiming their lesbian status just look silly and to be trying too hard. Wanting to hang out with the lesbians is such a heteromale cliche I'm surprised these XY people can say they are lesbians with a straight face, especially those with penises. No-one else is convinced.
