Yet another example of women being pushed to the side for inCluSivIty

Birthing Company uses phrase 'Birthing people' in post showing intimate photos of a woman with baby crowning. Has comments from feminists swiftly deleted and page posts saying they're 'watching them'. birth workers and supposed feminists, we are taking notes, which i take as a threat of doxxing of some kind.

Lots of fart sniffing as they all praise one another for being so inclusive...

Yes it's so bloody progressive to erase women isn't it. Not only women give birth they claim.

It makes me so angry. Sorry I just needed to vent!

We are heading straight back to a bizarre woo version of the Dark Ages.

I was just about to start a thread on this. Women give birth, only women 🤷🏻‍♀️ this is so stupid.

Ineedacupofteadesperately · 24/04/2019 22:53

The thing is, the average person in the street is pretty clear that only women give birth. And think this sort of language is weird. And a lot of women would actually be quite offended to be called a 'birthing person'. They're not doing themselves any favours I think, pissing off a large number of their potential customers (? not even sure what a birthing company does?). Sunlight.

Outanabout · 25/04/2019 07:48

The page is gone. Their virtuous inclusivity seems to have backfired. Why are so many companies whose only customers are women determined to make us invisible? It's really puzzling.

Ineedacupofteadesperately · 25/04/2019 07:52

Puzzling, and a pretty rubbish business model. I can only assume that the people running such businesses live in such a bubble of ultra wokeness that they can't conceive that anyone might have an alternative view to the one they've been gaslighted into. Or be offended by their unilateral decision to abandon the word women and use 'birthing people' instead.

truthisarevolutionaryact · 25/04/2019 08:02

Not much of a business model if they're waiting for all these 'alternative' models of women to give birth Grin . Not to mention pissing off so many of their actual target group who will be comfortable with being real cunty women.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 25/04/2019 08:24

If they said they supported 'women' and birthing people' less people would have a problem with it
