I read this FB comment yesterday, and it seems appropriate here:

If you don't believe in sex only gender then how do you recognise women and girls whose humanity and rights you're taking? Why is gender the key to sex rights if sex is made up? This is MRA and it wouldn't have such power if it were not.

That’s a great letter.

I was struck by this comment from an unnamed SNP source:
”Nobody raising genuine concerns over women’s rights should face knee-jerk accusations of transphobia. However, transgender people continue to face prejudice in their everyday lives and deserve to know that their government is working to change that.”

I think it’s true: transgender people continue to face prejudice in their everyday lives.

Also true but not included in the statement: women continue to face prejudice in their everyday lives.

Every single fucking day women continue to face prejudice. And danger. And violence. So I hope the Scottish government is working to change that too.
