I cant vote, all the candidates support self ID so I may as well protest. Any suggestions on what to do with my ballot paper?

The important thing is to draw a line through all the candidates and write "None".

That way, the returning officer cannot record your action as "ambiguous" or "unclear". These terms are short-hand for "confused voter" and can be ignored or downplayed by candidates.

Then find a space on the ballot paper and write a few short words on where you're coming from - otherwise, candidates will assume that you are protesting about Brexit.

I haven't decided what I'm going to write, because I don't know how much space there is. If I'm short of space I will just put:

WPUK.org.uk and/or one of the other women's organisations website address.

I'd love it if someone could think of a pithy slogan to write.

Detailed instructions with diagrams as to what they can do with your ballot paper.

Or 'None of the Above'

What about ‘none of the above support women’? I do like the Australian none of the above option. I used to be more politically active and I can tell you that observers from all parties look carefully at the ballot papers when they are being counted. May not be true in areas where one party is completely dominant but otherwise representatives from almost all the parties observe the count.

I live in a safe seat in a woke town, and I don't think there will be many people like me. So I'm not worried about accidentally letting UKIP in.

If no one comes up with a better slogan I'm going to write 'No to self ID, support womens rights''.
