Top of the list of 'lesbians' they want to hear from - biological males who are attracted to biological females

And highlighted at the bottom:
We will not accept or respond to stories that contain discriminatory language or opinions towards other identities or groups

ie no personal accounts which could suggest that being a lesbian means being a homosexual female

Lesbian Invisibility Day

I really hope that lesbian women respond to this and send in their stories, despite the heavy handed warning and the focus on men. It should be possible to focus on women and girls, their own personal experiences without having to make any reference to transgender ideology. If lesbian women are put off from submitting their thoughts then it will be dominated by those who seek to take over.

People who are attracted to the opposite sex are heterosexual.
Sexual orientation is a protected characteristic. The Equality Act states;

  • A man who experiences sexual attraction towards both men and women is “bisexual” in terms of sexual orientation even if he has only had relationships with women.
  • A man and a woman who are both attracted only to people of the opposite sex from them share a sexual orientation.
  • A man who is attracted only to other men is a gay man. A woman who is attracted only to other women is a lesbian. So a gay man and a lesbian share a sexual orientation.

Lesbi-men.

There. Fixed it for them.

Illyria47 · 16/04/2019 21:40

I am not a Lesbian but do not believe men are when they put on a dress or have gender reassignment surgery or especially when they keep their penis. Lesbians are biological females.
It is not being transphobic to state the truth.

BeUpStanding · 16/04/2019 21:47

There is an outright war on lesbians, this is horrendous. Transgender ideology is deeply homophobic.

Julia Long describes what is currently happening to lesbians as cultural genocide, and as time goes on I am increasingly inclined to think she's being very measured and under stated in her views.

Whatisthisfuckery · 16/04/2019 21:47

Every time I read shit like this I try to come out with something snarky, or clever, or something that accurately reflect my anger but won’t get me deleted. It’ll have to wait for another day, because I still don’t possess any words of more than four letters that will do my feelings justice. Actually, scratch that, even the four letter ones don’t cut it, not by a long chalk.

Julia Long speaking at the Lesbian Erasure event in London sometime last year.

It says 'lesbians who are trans' - so maybe some TMs will respond.

2BthatUnnoticed · 17/04/2019 04:10

Are there any organisations left which recognise homosexuality as a valid orientation (i.e. same sex attraction)? Serious question.

We recently had Trans Day of Visibility, and many “trans lesbians” featured prominently... likewise on Women’s Day. So why do they also need to be the focus of Lesbian’s Day.

OldCrone · 17/04/2019 07:07

That's how I read it. A woman who is attracted to other women, but identifies as 'non binary' or as a man, is a 'lesbian who is trans', surely? But I suspect the only ones who will respond to this will be the male 'lesbians'. And suggesting that female-bodied trans people are women is probably classed as 'literal violence'.

YippeeKayakOtherBuckets · 17/04/2019 07:12

My pervy uncle used to say he was a lesbian trapped in a mans body. Oh how we laughed. Today he’s be stunning and brave and able to submit his story as a proud trans lesbian.

It’s like living in some weird alice in wonderland nightmare.

OrchidInTheSun · 17/04/2019 07:22

I don't think women who identify as men and who are attracted to women consider themselves lesbians. I think they consider themselves straight men

AnyOldPrion · 17/04/2019 07:47

Anyone know what this is (from the photo in the article)

Hirsutefirs · 17/04/2019 07:53

CuriousaboutSamphire · 17/04/2019 07:55
