Female = letting out a small shriek because wearing pink

At last! A definition of what makes us female!

Lydia Fenno @DumbartonsDrums announces today on Twitter that on wearing pink and white 'I found myself reacting in a more traditional feminine way ... I even let out a small shriek'.

Because obviously we all tittup around squealing like cartoon Victorian ladies

Snarling great explosions of rage in my case - since my first #stickerwoman 'women don't have penises' encounter on Twitter sometime last summer finally jolted my whattheFUCK??? ladyglands into action. I haven't stopped roaring since. And same goes for whether I'm wearing pink, black or octarine.

You mean you don't ^let out a small shriek* and then lay back delicately fainting on a couch while calling for the sal volatile?

T1meForDebate · 13/04/2019 12:26

While delicately fluttering a lace hankie and protesting I couldn't possibly lift a chair (tinkly laugh)

I live in Melbourne.

Most women here wear black most of the time.

Maybe none of us are women? Or even female?

boatyardblues · 13/04/2019 13:03

If you're gonna shriek, go big or go home.

👏

TurboTeddy · 13/04/2019 13:27

Katterina

laughing my grey sports socks off 😀 but had to roll up the sleeves on my man's long sleeved T-shirt so they didn't get in the way of typing!

GirlDownUnder · 13/04/2019 13:35

Top thread!

Thanks OP for tittup - a new word for me, I like it.

Emergence I'm also in Oz where we all wear thongs. On our feet.

Not many small shrieks being let out in their days' work, I'd say

Well, I didn't shriek at the picture of Jason Momoa, but ....

Girls car. Natch.

I let out a shriek earlier but I was wearing burgundy. Was I doing it wrong?

ErrolTheDragon · 13/04/2019 17:54

Clothes of any colour don't make me shriek.

I didn't even audibly squee at the baby goat with the slippy hooves. Grin

GirlDownUnder · 13/04/2019 18:30

Errol wow, you’re strong 💪

I squee’d at the kid, then rewatched - 3 times Blush

Maybe saved it lol

Freshprincess · 13/04/2019 18:36

Sounds right. I’m not wearing pink and haven’t shrieked all day. I must be feeling like a man today

If I saw David Gandy coming at me in pink (or anything else for that matter) I’d be more than shrieking.

Michelleoftheresistance · 13/04/2019 18:41

Oh dear. Pink is part of my work uniform, and I actually manage to wear it while still not turning into a giggling, featherbrained, pathetic caricature who shouldn't be allowed out alone remaining competent and able, for example, to bleed my own radiators.

Possibly im a man in denial. Or possibly I just have a brain and don't wear my femaleness like a costume, or feel I have to act out stereotypes, I don't know.

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 13/04/2019 18:50

Well, I didn't shriek at the picture of Jason Momoa, but ....
I may have shrieked internally at the sight of what appears to be a pink velvet scrunchie on his right wrist. There isn't a gender in existence that should possess such an item.

Liverpool52 · 13/04/2019 18:59

I was looking at shoes today trying to find some to go with a new dress. I died a little bit inside every time I found a pair that went with said dress with heels that would cripple me within seconds of putting then on. Obviously I must be a man if I'm not exlaiming in delight at putting tiny instruments of torture on my feet.

Michelleoftheresistance · 13/04/2019 19:28

I wonder if I put on a Viking helmet I'll suddenly find myself inspired to quaff and making long boats?

Women: really nothing more than cosplay. What's that saying about drawing a warm bath of someone else's oppression and having a wank in it?

I was also going to post a link to Stade Frrancais.
