Amnesty U.K. seem to be strengthening their stance on trans women and access to female spaces. They had a post supporting all of stonewall's policies (including trans women accessing women's refuges and being on women's shortlists). I'm disappointed in them as they should be considering women's rights and seem to be ignoring them. They have also dismissed recent media coverage (the times? They don't cite the source) outright.

Has anyone else noticed this? I worry about what to comment on the page as it's under my real name and I work in education. I'm also lacking in eloquence (sleep deprived and just not my strong point!)

Any ideas? I want to stand up for women's rights but don't want to say anything that could be held up as being transphobic, as I'm not.

Ask if they support lesbian women experiencing human rights violations - if they support women's rights to define their own sexualities for themselves.

Then see what they say.

They will be in ecstasies of wokeness at the moment and might not be thinking clearly so catch them in inconsistencies.
