That is some of the worst homophobia I have seen in a long time....I know I live in Brighton so probably see less than most but I’m horrified by that article.

It is awful homophobia. Once being a lesbian was “unnatural.” Now it is “transphobic.”

Feels weird to have to say this in 2019 but... your sexuality is yours to define! You do not need to validate anyone’s gender identity, that’s not your job.

If someone calls you “transphobic” because you don’t fancy lady dick... just block and move on.

(That would be my message to any younger lesbians lurking who’ve come of age in the current climate) 😊

Thanks for sharing. It’s really horrible reading this stuff. It is extremely revealing that lesbians are the ones targeted this way when other groups are not.

I think that lesbians face the brunt of it, absolutely but I think gay men are also being asked/pushed to accomodate trans people in traditionally gay spaces. A browse of datalounge or the like show some dissent around having to compromise their sexuality too.
