It was in 2016, so I'm sorry if it has already been covered. I just find it horrendous that she was treated so badly by her ex and asked for protection 5 times , to be not believed and then fined!

14 police officers were investigated.

It makes me want to cry how badly the police failed this woman

And it happens again, and again, and again...

And yet they still manage to make time to arrest women not causing trouble, sitting on chairs, misgendering etc. Shame on them.

I tend to stay out of these threads because I struggle to process the emotional load of reading about VAWG.

But fuck me. This is horrific.
Something is going seriously wrong. Surely this should be dealt with outside of the police’s own conduct organisation? Government inquiry or somesuch?

What are the nationwide figures for women being killed or seriously injured by men they had previously reported?

I feel sick.

This shit will never change until at the very least officers involved lose their jobs and their pensions or even better go to prison for some sort of dereliction of Duty/ corporate manslaughter charge.
