Pro surrogacy and sex work activism, and the reduction of women to body parts by AWAs

Is it just me or are all these thing converging on the same point?

Step 1: Make it impossible for women to organise without men, or have access to woman only safe spaces.
Step 2: Dehumanise women by reclassifying us as a less worthy subgroup of our own sex class, and by reducing us to body parts ie "breeders", "menstruators" etc
Step 3: Legitimise and main stream the commercialisation of our bodies for sexual and reproductive purchase.
Step 4: Profit and exploitation dressed up as liberation and progress

Is this going to end with board rooms full of men, half of them identifying as women, celebrating having 50/50 representation, while the people now just known as "breeders" are farmed for sex and babies? Lets not forget that the women in the handmaid's tale were constantly told that they were freer than women in the past because they now had the "freedom from" rather than the "freedom to". They were also told that this situation gave them more dignity because motherhood was more valued, which is an argument I've heard almost verbatim from the religious right who are pretty much the only other group pushing back against TRAs. That is I've heard them argue that the TWAW argument is bad because it erodes women's value "as mothers".

This is "the left see women as public property, the right see women as private property" in action, isn't it.

In my dystopian mind set I follow a similar path. As the number of people transitioning grows and the fertility rate will be affected long term I think surrogacy and adoptions will spike...but as I reach for positives I wonder if the global population growth rate might slow down and we might all be able to leave within the means of the planet. I also hope that the number of detransitioners will increase and prevent further transitioners to undergo medical treatment. Mental health might overcome and it could all be wrapped up and shoved to the back of the wardrobe of history in a few short years.

I do hope that Margaret Atwood is watching and writing it all down though...
