How ridiculous.

If anyone ever asks me what my pronouns are I'm going to say my pronouns are 'I' and then see if they manage a single sentence referring to me without tying themselves in knots.

Since actual normal usage of the English language doesn't seem to be important or a defence against misgendering any more, I really don't see why not.

As far as I'm concerned, putting on a pronoun badge is a political statement. it says:

I support the idea that...

• people can change sex
• gender identity is a thing, and needs to be validated

This is a cult. If you want to be seen as compassionate, liberal, progressive and don't have time for rational thought, science and biology, then the badges are for you. You'll look like a dick, though.

are you allowed to not accept badges or forced pronouns as labelling is "so, like, regressive"? Is that not a youth thing nowadays (thankfully my teens/young adults are STEM types who understand science)?

Oh dear, I don’t see this going well. Kids can come up with creative ways to rebel, and are not known for their sensitivity. Basically the only takers will be the easily intimidated, the piss takers, and despotic little shits who will enjoy the power trip.
