This is very interesting.
Suicide attempt rate actually increases after transition in both mtf and ftm according to research.
This is known by trans practitioners but because they profit greatly from transing people they don't care.

kesstrel · 02/04/2019 12:50

But the journal and this research has been suppressed, so I'm not sure they do know. It's the disappearance of these articles from the archives, so that this person has only discovered them via the Wayback Machine, that is the horrific element here, IMO.

Thanks for the alert and link to this.

An interesting read.

Direct link to the article, will be interesting to see if gets taken down medium.com/@dontkillfrogs/the-secret-trans-literature-they-dont-want-you-to-know-about-eb089c5c3623

Here's another article by Hacsi Horvath, long but well worth a read:

For about 13 years, I also masqueraded “as a woman,” taking medical measures which suggest, shall we say, that I was completely committed to that lifestyle. Most men would have recoiled from this, but in my estrogen-drug-soaked stupor it seemed like a good idea. In 2013 I stopped taking estrogen for health reasons and very rapidly came back to my senses. I ceased all effort to convey the impression that I was a woman and carried on with life.

”Our preliminary results indicate significant psychopathological aspects and narcissistic dysregulation in most of our gender dysphoric patients. Among biological males different subtypes of self-(dys-) regulation and corresponding MMPI-profiles seem to emerge. Results of the narcissism inventory indicate that of the 4 main dimensions (the threatened self, the traditional narcissistic self, the ideal self, the hypochondriac self) scales covering aspects of the ,threatened self' show the most significant deviations while a number of patients do not have a negative body-self. The implications of these results should be considered when thinking about differential diagnoses and prognostic factors”

This surprises me not a whit.

It's the disappearance of these articles from the archives

Have they really disappeared, though? I just searched for one of the papers mentioned using google scholar, and it found it and also links to the journal page.

CuriousaboutSamphire · 02/04/2019 15:48

Disappeared? Normal google gets hits on both authors, papers, books and chapters.

And the International Journal of Transgenderism isn't hidden either.

Am I missing something?

They incorporated the Haworth issues in their archive, but not the 1997–2002 Symposion issues. Did the IJT’s editors wish to avoid having the “questionable” old material in the archive? What journal would try to suppress its first few years of work? Soon, the Symposion web site with the 1997–2002 issues of IJT was gone forever. Oh! I see! The early, trans scpetical years have been lost to view!

The 4thWavenow article
by Hacsi Horvath is a very interesting read - it really helped me understand what goes on in the mind when someone becomes fixated on transitioning.

Soon, the Symposion web site with the 1997–2002 issues of IJT was gone forever.

It hasn't gone - it's still there:
