No, they've gone a bit quiet (though LCBC has been tweeting and posting in their usual all-children-can-wear-anything way).
I don't know if the same teenage interns do both feeds but it looks like the LTBT person who did the original one was told not to do it again, but they haven't taken it down.

howmanyleftfeet · 05/04/2019 10:05

LCBC and LTBT are not the same people. They're allies but different campaigns AFAIK.

donquixotedelamancha · 05/04/2019 10:18

LCBC and LTBT are not the same people.

Indeed, LCBC were scathing a few weeks ago, when criticised for retweeting TERFs or some such. They may not see it as their place to comment on Trans issues, but they are clearly GC and pro women in general.

Frankly I'm confused how LTBT can be GC about toys and genderist about 'identity' or whatever their actual position is.

Is it just me or has that Twitter thread been filtered? Lots of strongly supportive responses referencing more negative ones but no sign of those critical responses?

Fazackerley · 05/04/2019 11:43

When I first read the twitter it was absolutely full of negative responses. They've all gone. Definitely been filtered.

howmanyleftfeet · 05/04/2019 11:47

Filtered by whom? Twitter?

howmanyleftfeet · 05/04/2019 11:50

I can still see all the critical responses.

It could be that they're shadow banned maybe? If you have your filters set to filter out "poor quality" content or something like that, then you can't see the shadow banned tweeters I think? (I'm a bit hazy on this but I think that's how it works! Does anyone else know?)

Bufferingkisses · 05/04/2019 11:58

I've deliberately never posted, followed anyone or adjusted settings on Twitter simply so that I can't be blocked from seeing things - I like the whole story. If there are filters like poor quality I wouldn't know how to change them. Can anyone help? I've noticed in the past threads quoted here as being critical of a woke post read to me as being supportive so that may explain it.

Shadow banning sounds like a perfect tool for underhand filtering to me?

Got it in one.

I’ve seen students physically hurt themselves by inaccurate breast binding because no one talks about this stuff and they hate their own bodies. Do they need counselling? Most definitely. Do they need to be judged and told they are just confirming to a set of cultural stereotypes? Fuck no. That is harmful and degrading.

I know other people have addressed this poster but I had to delurk to register my horror. First of all, as far as I know, there is no way of accurately binding the breasts and not doing damage. I'm sure there is a way of doing it which is particularly harmful but binding is dangerous full stop. The fact a teacher doesn't understand this is dreadful. It's like a teacher turning a blind eye knowing a student is going to be subjected to FGM on the basis they think the most basic forms of it are neutral (bearing in mind there are different degrees of being cut). It is not your job to normalise these practises. You should be speaking out against them.

Secondly, is ANYONE here judging children or teenagers who are stating they're unhappy with their sex? It's ridiculous to come on a feminist forum and indirectly accuse people of that. We are all here in part because we're concerned about these young people and the impact trans ideology is having on them. They are vulnerable and they are the victims of this movement.

Thirdly I also wish that a teacher who claims they have seen lots of kids with gender issues could understand that it's likely a very high percentage of them either have experience of sexual assault or something like autism. If you fail to understand that you will be failing to get them nudged in the direction of appropriate support.

This thread has really depressed me.

Makes me think of foot binding.
