Just completed a survey for Cats Protection and they asked for the gender of my cat. It did make me chuckle. Funny enough they only had two options. I'm disappointed as I think he identifies as lord and high master of all.

I had a cat who identified as 'permanently mardy'.

My cats are eunuchs wtf do I put them as 🤣

Imagine the scratches you’d get for misgendering your cat! I hope you consulted he/she/xir first.

How stupid. Everyone knows dogs are boys and cats are girls.

My ginger cat has no testicles and rocks a luminous pink collar. He is definitely gender non conforming.

My black cat however sticks rigidly to gender stereotypes.

(just to add I have had somebody telling me making my boy cat wear pink is wrong!)

Did you just assume your ginger cat’s gender, Ginger? Pink + sparkles strongly suggests your cat feels differently.

Mine identifies as smasher of all.... She pushed my laptop of its surface this morning and cracked my laptop.

My cat identifies as the Queen of Sheba and the Midnight Yowler.
She thinks I'm terribly phobic and bigoted for not recognising her status as a deity. By not bowing down to her I'm denying her existence.
She's never had any gender issues though, she's happy to smack any other cat round the chops just like a good female cat should.

My cat identifies as queen of the house and her subjects (being dear husband and myself), and is petulant that we won’t permit her to expand her dominion over other cats and dogs in the neighbourhood.

Every one thinks cat 1 is a girl. Despite the furry bollocks. (neutered)

Cigars, our cat has the same collar and also identifies as queen of the house. She thinks DH and I are lax in our food provision though and makes her displeasure known by hunting my feet at 5:30 in the morning.

I took them to the vet and had to weigh the question: Do I explain their pronouns not only to the vet, but also the front-desk workers, the vet techs, and everyone else we interacted with?

He must have blown his top when he saw that the cages at the vets have the cats name, sex and whether or not they are neutered written on thewm.

First I wondered why CP used gender when gender is a human construct and then listed bio sex markers of male or female. Then I thought what my cat's pronoun would be? Lord/Master? Should I make him a badge for the preferred one?

And it is vital that the medical professionals know someone's sex being pretty crucial in the diagnosis and treatment of lots of diseases.
