They're not very imaginative, these professional assigners, are they? Fifty-fifty boy/girl every year, year in year out. Why don't they liven it up with 100% one flavour every so often or similar? After all, the kids can reassign themselves later on if they like. So boring.

Sigh. This person is a Canadian midwife. Just like me. I knew they would be when I saw this. Luckily the batshittery has not yet gone quite this far amongst the majority of my colleagues, but I'd say it's only a matter of time.

Said no Canadian registered midwife ever. Despite the woke views we are very protective of our designation! Following on from my last post I think she is probably some sort of illegal unregistered midwife, probably trained at an American school. Which does make me feel slightly reassured that my colleagues aren't THIS dumb.

I just had this 'debate' with someone elsewhere online. After they spouted the usual wokeness about whoever says they're a woman literally being one, we got onto this topic and I asked what information the midwife uses to 'assign' the child as boy or girl, if it's not just about observing their sex.

'They see its gender', I was told.

Of course I asked how anyone could possibly do this, as by trans-ideology gender is internal and ineffable and non-binary and so on. Observing sex would be so much easier. I was told in the next comment that I should be nice and not hurt trans people's feelings, because 'feelings matter more than facts' (seriously, that isn't a humorous paraphrase) after which the person sharing this wonderful wisdom deleted all of their comments.

Oh well. Lesson learnt. Archive everything.

I have been seeing this more and more from the TRAs, very infuriating. I have PCOS, I have a child I know other women with PCOS who have managed to conceive after medical intervention (one has 2 children!) I have had a DNA test, I have 2 X chromosomes. I am not intersex and not medically defined as intersex. Stop trying to trans me, dammit!

I wonder if it's like sexing Chickens, because people who do that make quite a lot of money?
