Ds is 6 and very sure that boys are great at everything. I have worked hard to remind him that girls are equally brilliant. He plays gaelic football (we are in Ireland - technically he's on a mixed team but only 2 girls and about 20 boys his age). Today he was talking about his favourite teams and said unprompted, "Dublin has the best gaelic team in the world". Dd asked him how he knew. "Because the women's team won the all Ireland"

Good going OP, I was proud in the library today when DS 3 pointed at a picture and said 'that's a man, that's a man, that's a man'. The characters were in Africa and didn't have particular features but they were wearing Bubus (long sleeved robes) so could have been dresses and he didn't automatically think they were women.

Good work your ds! Now just keep him away from stonewall definitions and jelly babies.

My small proud moment was when my 5yo ds want us to get a new car. I said we couldn't afford one. He asked if my boss would give me more money, I said no.

After pausing he said may be Papa can ask his boss. SHE might give him more wages!

DH hasn't got a female boss, but it pleased me he didn't assume!
