MN survey on moderation

Mn have posted a survey regarding the site moderation on Talk.
The questions ask for opinions on moderation of the Brexit topics and Feminism boards.
I can't link on here, but it has been stuck on the active convos page.

Done. I had quite a long list of people I’d like to be invited for a webchat.

Yes, the web chat question had me thinking. I don't like the idea of no platforming so there are a few people who I would welcome for a chat on MN.

I think Susie Greene would make an excellent webchat guest.

Bumping this as it's a great feedback mechanism - and yes, I too had a long list of suggestions, including Susie Green, as I'd welcome an open discussion.

This survey is all well and good but it is open to anyone and there is nothing to stop anyone a) lying about the demographic they belong to or b) gaming the survey for political ends.

I don't see how any data taken from it can usefully inform contentious subjects such as feminism/trans issues or Brexit.

It's certainly not going to help the moderation of Feminism Chat to take into account non MN users (whether they lie about that or not).

My watch list gets deleted which pisses me off no end as they are needless!

I started a thread in kisna gems about a bloody ri g and it got deleted along with a reply which was massively helpful from someone who bought a shit ring!

And any thread that's the least bit contentious now goes and gets zapped.

Trans thread? Zapped
Anything remotely contentious?? Zapped.

Brexit?

This worries me. It could be gamed or used as a justification to shut down / limit politics on MN.
