Just seen this article - Jazz will become the face of Gillette's Venus, because shaving helps you feel like a woman!

That’s quite a hold Jazz’s parents have over Jazz. That doesn’t sound healthy. I hope Jazz manages to have a normal life in the future, and hairless legs of course. I however have hairy legs, and fluffy armpits, and a bush that the Wildlife Trust would be proud of.

Jazz has been hugely lied to. Gillette are colluding in something very wrong by adding their endorsement to this.

In the clip I watched, the parents said that Jazz was still recovering from surgery, and had another surgery to go, that would also require recovery.

That was their reason for keeping her at home, though I still don't quite understand how it's their decision. I wish I felt someone was looking out for the poor kid and not on the make.

I don't think Jazz will ever have 'a normal life' as she is one of the top dogs in the pyramid scheme that is transgenderism. She is now playing her part in spreading the ideology further at her very own LBGTQ camp. I wouldn't think many kids come out as LBGQ at such a young age so I assume that most (or all) of those kids are trans.

Typically an 18 year old would finish high school in May/June and then leave for college in aug/sep. student housing closes between terms and for the summer so students are expected to return to their parents homes or find alternate housing.

I think they might still be assisting her post-surgery so she may still be dependent on them and unable to move out.

She could still get her own place and then move back in for the recovery period after surgery. I think Jazz will gradually realise that sadly her parents haven't acted in her best interests for some time.

I wonder how they've arranged her money - she surely must have been earning large sums all these years from the show? I would have thought it should have been put in trust for her and maybe the trust is wrapped up until she's 21 or something but they're acting like she has no money of her own. I think in UK there are laws re child performers earnings but perhaps not in the USA.

I don't waste money on expenses razors either, if I did I would boycott.

I use a standard/ male raser with disposable heads. Rarely bother with my legs though esp in winter

I use Gillette Venus but may reconsider. I wouldn’t care about them using a trans model, that’s not the issue. I wish Jazz all the best - I think they’re a vulnerable kid - but I’m uneasy about Jazz’s story and am surprised Gillette are condoning it.

Suppose a sexist, sexualising marketing concept would naturally gravitate towards a very sexist, sexualising philosophy.

It’s the lack of thought for the individual posterchild at the heart of this specific campaign that is very concerning.

I wonder if there have got a good pair of legs? I remember Lily Savage (for it was the character not the comedian) being the legs of Pretty Polly (I think it was that brand). People liked Lily Savage though so they weren’t doing it to tweak people’s noses or to show how ‘in with the cool kids’ they were.

I don't have a problem with a trans person promoting razors at all.

I do have a problem with any razor brand that promotes the idea that any child of 10 needs to shave their legs to "feel like a woman".

I also have an issue with a brand that exploits an unhappy vulnerable child (JJ is still a child regardless of their age) for profit.

I don't shave my legs... they are permanently covered in jeans or trousers ...if on the rare occasion I do shave ( once every Preston guild) my legs feel horrible inside my jeans...

I don't see why Gillette have done this. Judging from the comments on youtube, Jazz isn't very popular now, seen as rude and entitled., even amongst those that are sympathetic to their transition and accept transwomen as women.

Jazz I fear will go one of a few ways. None of which, the parents will like.

In terms of thinking of 'undue pressure', here we have someone openly saying they are unable to leave home because of the control their parents have over them.
