This author promotes gay conversion therapy. (She's on the board of the National Association for Research & Therapy of Homosexuality, which do conversion therapy)

It's great but has it been published / peer reviewed?

Interesting questions, that I don't know the answer to. The paper itself doesn't promote conversion therapy though. Not sure how to check if it's been peer reviewed.

I emailed Michelle to ask whether it has been published and peer reviewed. She says it was published in the peer-reviewed online journal of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons in 2016. She also says that the AAPS is a conservative leaning Hippocratic medical association which gets criticised by ad hominen attacks.
This issue does draw together left and right wing thinkers, and if Michelle has done her research thoroughly the paper doesn't warrant being dismissed because of other views she may have.

Gay conversion therapy is discredited. If someone endorses pseudoscience, they will (rightly) be judged unreliable on other areas.
