Leaflets opposing the GRA are being reported to the police as a hate crime.

Autogynephilic (AGP) males are literally the last people who should be allowed access to women's spaces. It's a paraphilia, they find the validation sexually arousing. Part of the paraphilia is forcing women to validate them -for example by forcing themselves into women's toilets and changing rooms - and it is very porn-driven.

I don't think they view women as fully human at all - we are just sexual objects that they envy.

Agree, Toe

Just seen another thread and the delightful peyton has been arrested. How refreshing that just for once actually threatening, promoting and inciting violence against women has been acted upon.

No doubt the usual TRAs will wail about the literal violence they are subject to by misuse of pronouns.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 21/03/2019 17:36

I am satisfied to see someone getting pulled up and held accountable for their very public words. I hope more will follow so that people learnt that in the real world words matter.

And crying ‘no fair, I’m siiiiick’ doesn’t get you off the hook. If you are unwell then step away from the keyboard.

ToeToToe · 21/03/2019 17:42

Very pleased to see this. Seen the size of "Peyton"? Yet I'm sure we'll hear how "Peyton" is the most oppressed of all the oppressed people in the world...

SimplyMonstrous · 21/03/2019 18:09

I read Peyton’s Twitter account on Sunday morning when I first became aware of the throat punch comment. I live in Edinburgh, had attended the for women event where sisters uncut were protesting and tweeting aggressively outside, And i just found the whole thing very worrying.

Anyway, it was just a very sad series of tweets by somebody who was very obviously struggling. They said that they were lonely and isolated and asked people to seriously help them if they had some time, but there was very minimal response from friends. I’m not justifying the violent remarks. Just feel this is someone who also needs a lot of help 😪

LizzieSiddal · 21/03/2019 18:12

Lots of people need help, inciting violence against women is not the way to get it.

abuseofpowercomesasnosurprise · 21/03/2019 18:31

SimplyMonstrous From what I've seen of Peyton I get the same impression as you. There is no excuse for inciting violence and they should face the legal consequences, but it looks like they've been egged on by a community that normalises violent threats against women (and the handmaidens who turn a blind eye), and as someone newly transitioned looks like they were 'acting big' to try to fit in and be accepted. It's a shame that threats such as these haven't been taken seriously sooner, then perhaps this person might have realised what they were doing was unacceptable and not be in this position. Sad situation all round.

RedDogsBeg · 21/03/2019 20:03

No, I don't feel at all sorry for Peyton.

Ereshkigal · 21/03/2019 20:06

I expect Peyton feels rather hard done by that all the others got away with it. Peyton is being Made An Example Of. Rightly so, it's about time these threats to women were taken seriously.

ToeToToe · 21/03/2019 20:47

The friend of Tara Wolf made very violence-inciting tweets. (Ada something?)

After Tara had assaulted Maria MacLachlan, Ada posted that "20 of us should get together and punch them all, then they'd stop organising" or words to that effect.

Chilling. And nothing ever came of that - so yes, I imagine Peyton does feel rather hard-done-by. So many have got away with violent threats in the past.

Perhaps it's indicative of the tide turning - people are outraged by the police investigations into Caro "misgendering" - and police are actually acting on the real violent threats towards women.

I agree with this.

Still don't feel sorry for h** though.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 21/03/2019 20:56

^“tongue-in-cheek comment” written in anger and retracted the use of “terf”

But didn't retract the "punch in throat"?

abuseofpowercomesasnosurprise · 21/03/2019 21:01

I know I shouldn't feel sorry for them and its my female socialisation shining through. I do find it hard to understand why they are being prosecuted and not all these other people I see threatening violence against women every day though - not that Peyton should be let off, these people should be prosecuted too.

Ooh - I love that sticker - where might one get hold of those?

abuseofpowercomesasnosurprise · 21/03/2019 21:07

I'm afraid I don't know, just chanced upon this delightful tweet. Interesting in the last one there, the tactic we've seen before of employing women as human shields and now getting them to do the dirty work of potentially fighting other women for them.

ToeToToe · 21/03/2019 21:19

It may be that they've charged Peyton because it is a specific threat to a specific women's organisation ForWOmen.Scot- and that Peyton lives in that same area. Rather than the random 'punch a terf' thing.

Ereshkigal · 21/03/2019 21:26

I remember when Accenture changed its name. It's a fucking stupid name.

Nah, the winner of bad rebranding, I believe, PWC who briefly rebranded themselves as ‘Monday’ or ‘Mondays’.

Sadly whoever was in charge of the rebrand protest didn’t secure the URL, and someone got there before them and created a lovely website with donkeys flying around the screen. How we laughed.

I think it’s a perfect storm situation for Peyton.

A combination of the specific threat/inticement to violence (down to the shopping centre where the proposed victims could be found), Joan McAlpine’s commentary, Green’s and Mimmymum’s attempted overreaches, plus Peyton has bigged Peytonself up as a musician under Peyton’s previous name and has a bit of a following/songs on iTunes, as well as being booked to headline Dundee Trans Pride in a fortnight...

When I looked at Peyton's Instagram it was interesting to see that they hadn't deleted pictures of themselves as a man with a beard. Another inconsistency between the hard-line we are expected to follow of not deadnaming, misgendering and crimes recorded as 'female', especially when this person only transitioned in January. It's ALMOST as if transitioning is being used by some to take the utter piss.

BettyDuMonde · 21/03/2019 21:52

Peyton Rose’s Youtube channel is still called Benny Monteux Music, so I’m not outing anyone, for the record - Mumsnet Mods!

m.youtube.com/user/bennymonteuxmusic/videos

According to the internet, BM supported my friend’s boyfriend’s band last year, just on a single tour date. Small world.
