Telegraph article I saw on Twitter

www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2019/03/19/trans-activists-fail-block-research-suggesting-gender-dysphoria/

Surely anyone who cares about children would welcome such research?

Can you please copy pasta the article if possible? There's a paywall. Thanks.

nettie434 · 20/03/2019 02:30

I can’t see the article behind the paywall either LaylaAlexandrovna but I think it seems to be covered on this thread:

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/3537806-Lisa-Littman-s-paper-on-ROGD-published

Good for Lisa Littman who has had a battle getting this accepted.

This piece gives more detail: www.chronicle.com/article/Journal-Issues-Revised-Version/245928

Some language in the paper has been 'softened' and more context given, but the results stand. I'd call this a win.

I know an ally who absolutely froths at the mouth if someone mentions this paper. She told me not to read it because it was flawed.

My initial response was "fuck off, you dumb shit" but I felt it would be more productive to ignore her (she's the human equivalent of a yappy micro-dog) and to read the article.

Now we are getting somewhere.

The grassroots movement to oppose the GRA in the UK has emboldened people elsewhere.

When the research was first published it was vilified. The researchers came in for eye-popping abuse and censorship. Now, they have republished their findings.

The report is highly inconvenient for Trans Validation Activists. It is catastrophic for those organisations and charities enabling Affirmation of Transition pathways for children.

What's needed is an organisation that can help parents, GPs and schools to rescue children from online and peer-grooming.

Thanks so much nettie.

I'm so thrilled to find we're making progress on some fronts. Meanwhile here in Vancouver BC, I've just found out The Ogre is compiling a list of Canadians who have done the dreaded 'hate speech' and called for hackers to get these names. Meanwhile the BCNDP (provincial gov) sits there and does nothing. How much money do you think they're getting to keep their ears shut against feminism?

Oops, realised that's a bit of a derail! :D www.feministcurrent.com/2019/03/07/mccarthyist-throwback-bc-ndp-vice-president-announces-intent-to-compile-list-of-canadians-allegedly-associated-with-hate-groups/

nettie434 · 21/03/2019 11:02

Not so much a derail as a related topic sadly, LaylaAxexandrovna. I smiled when I saw some posters here and on Twitter who have donated to Vancouver Rape Relief naming the Ogre in their donation.
