Spotted this today, an anti-terf joke by Lisa Kelly, bio reads:
#Transgender & #LGBT activist,@YorkLGBT Forum co-chair. part of the 'Free to be me' team.
'Free to be me' so long as you don't define a woman as adult human female or is a lesbian who refueses 'ladydick', it seems, in which case you are given the witches' bridle. I'm astounded this is acceptable - what if we changed the word 'Terf' to 'Trans', how would that sound? - and yet GC's are the ones accused of bigotry. Also, the typo is unfortunate and somewhat undermines the 'joke'...

Having come across this person before on Facebook, I can't help but feel pity. They clearly have alcohol problems. They are quite a tragic character. I don't know how they got into a position where they could cause mischief with their nonsense. It's all very sad.

Katvonfelttipeyebrows because people are so afraid of being 'on the wrong side of history' that they join in with whatever the cause du jour is and let all critical thinking go out the window, same reason for this whole mess.

Katvonfelttipeyebrows...plus, as has become apparent, women's rights come last.

Surely the plural of TERF is terves?

Either way, that’s a greengrocer’s apostrophe in TERF’s. For shame!

VickyEadie · 15/03/2019 17:32

I rad this and did the longest exhale I think I've ever done. That is all.

VickyEadie · 15/03/2019 17:33

I also read it.

Katvonfelttipeyebrows · 15/03/2019 17:36

Ha Grin

I read it AND changed a lightbulb AT THE SAME TIME

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 15/03/2019 18:00

You read it from a radical perspective, or 'rad' it.

Popchyk · 16/03/2019 09:27

Just sticking this here because it made me laugh.

I like this guy. Gay man who thinks that same sex relationships are not actually wrong and bigoted. Is in the US.

He has this to say about Harrop.

"I understand it is not mature to comment on people's looks. But dude's eyes are plumb crazy. There is a psychopathy banging about in there, and he may have people in his freezer".

Well, women can’t tell jokes can they? They always fluff the punchline or forget an important bit. No sense of humour.

Maybe this is the new definition of woman we have all been waiting for: Woman. Adult human unfunny joke teller.

MrsBertBibby · 16/03/2019 10:14

That's a tweet of rare beauty, popchyk.

EverardDigby · 16/03/2019 10:55

Thanks Popchyk that's been an enjoyable 10 minutes scrolling through his Tweets, he's great!

truthisarevolutionaryact · 16/03/2019 11:11

Lovely man - if I was on Twitter he'd get a follow.

Popchyk · 16/03/2019 11:26

I liked his response to Patrick Strudwick's tweet about where people have been for the last 20 years re trans issues.

Initially resisting the urges to kill myself after a childhood of religious indoctrination told me my attractions were immoral.

Then a hedonistic wasteland as self medication for the above.

Settled and made a career.

Now back to being told my attractions are immoral/bigoted

EverardDigby · 16/03/2019 13:01

Also this:

We've reached a point where straight people calling themselves queer because they've got blue hair are telling actual homosexuals that they can't be in the 'LGBTQIA+' community if they don't toe the party line.

Truly an incredible achievement in the field of colonization.

Horsewithnogender · 16/03/2019 13:09

Well anyway I do know HOW TO SIMPLE THINGS so up yer bum, Manny.

Mysterian · 16/03/2019 13:15

I've heard racist, homophobic, sexist and all sorts of other unpleasant types of joke. However bad they've been you can still identify them as jokes. Usually you make the person think one thing, then suddenly reveal it's totally different. Can't find much of an attempt of humour in that tweet. The punchline is so generic it could apply to anybody, and so mild it's no real insult anyway.

abuseofpowercomesasnosurprise · 16/03/2019 14:43

EverardDigby Yup.

Not content with sharing women hating "jokes" they just shared a tweet trying to encourage people to give fake responses to a mumsnet survey.

Classy
