I've jumped down the rabbit hole of feminism chat/ FWR and have been spending a couple of days increasing horrified reading through these boards.

Spotted this online. What do people think of this? As it's a transgender boy, it's not encroaching on women-only spaces. But I'm guessing the precedent would apply for transgender girls too.

PS name changed for this because I don't want to be a target

Boys deserve privacy too.

Florida is a relatively conservative state - lots of retirees from elsewhere, but very closely located to the Bible Belt states (neighbours are Georgia and Alabama). Loves the death penalty and guns. I’d be surprised if this gets much traction.

Lots of lawsuits/campaigns are filed/promoted on behalf of mtf people, especially young ones. I personally suspect it’s a deliberate ploy - they are a palatable wedge, opening the doors for the middle aged autogynephiles to pile through.

Agree with Betty's assessment. Most of the high profile cases have been FTM. It's deliberate IMO. Trojan horse.

there is already a thread about this.

fwiw there is a lawsuit in the opposite direction, which is getting less publicity, a girl complaining about seeing a male in the girls' bathroom.

I started there. Trust me, you're going to need a lot more than a couple of days to get to grips with this. I went from "Live and let live" to "What the fuck, hands of my rights" after about 4 months.

Thanks very much! Very illuminating.

And if one happened to work for one of the companies who has submitted this brief, what would be a good way to raise awareness of dissonant voices/ employees uncomfortable with this action within the company?

And suppose the school is forced to allow the trans boy to use the male facilities. Who is then liable if the child is abused or assaulted in the boys' toilets?

"And suppose the school is forced to allow the trans boy to use the male facilities."

How about wondering whether the young guys would not wish to have a female bodied person sharing their facilities, I know I wouldn't when I was young.
