Help! Martina has re-tweeted a pro-Equality Act tweet

I'm not on Twitter so can't help bring the implications of this act to her attention. Could those of you who are, please object with urgency? From what she has said on the issue of women's sports, I can't believe that she really supports the erasure of female people as a civil rights class in America???

It’s different in the states though isn’t it. Actual rights rather than stealing someone else’s rights - aren’t they banning trans in the miliatary?

Has she deleted it already? I can't see it?

American LGBT people really do need far better rights. She was right to retweet it imo because pro-woman isn't anti-trans.

It is NOT just about the military here in the States. Democrats (my lifelong party! for shame) have just re-introduced the Equality Act, which sounds wonderful except that it would strip female people of our status as a separate class for civil rights protection!

The Equality Act would explicitly open all "public accommodation" in all 50 states on the basis of "gender identity" instead of sex. That's not just your toilets, that's changing rooms, sports teams, domestic violence shelters. This act would take us closer to Canada's status, where women who refuse to handle Balldemort's male appendages can be prosecuted for discrimination. This is NOT A GOOD THING.

Yes, this is really serious.
The American Equality Act updates seek to replace "sex" with "Gender Identity" and would mean the removal of all sex based protections.

Banning trans from the military is nothing to do with this act.
