Mango uses an adult woman model aged over 40, with wrinkles!

I was just astounded, while looking at the Mango website to find.....a woman of 45 plus modelling their tops. Admittedly she’s thin, white, blonde and astonishingly beautiful. And there are lots of younger models used too.

But nevertheless- I have never seen another mainstream fashion brand put its clothes on a model of this age without a huge farrago about how they’re doing it deliberately to be inclusionary, etc.

She’s just there, with her wrinkles. I almost spilt my tea.

It is very sad that such a thing - that women in their 40s can be sexual beings, despite not having aeronautic youthful pornstar tits and lips- should be noteworthy.

Never shopped there but I went over to look (was redirected to their Canadian page), and yes, even on the front "page" where the photos change through.

Nice seeing someone with noticeable glabella and smile/laugh lines - would save me some money if I can't delude myself into thinking that a new t-shirt will make me look 20 years younger!

There are a couple of fortyish models there, both looking beautiful. I love seeing different ages and shapes modelling clothes.
Ewa Michalak ( Polish bra brand) use a range of sizes and ages, from twenties to sixties.

Gudrun Sojen have lot of older women.

Theres also a model with a fairly large tattoo...I dont think Ive ever seen (or noticed) a fashion model with a tattoo before.

Yes Gudrun Sjoden have always had amazingly beautiful older women modelling. I also got that Monki ad today and thought it was great.

I really hope they find a cure for wrinkles before I reach that age. That said a friend of mine (in her forties) recently had a baby and got fat. She looks like a teenager. Her skin is smoother than mine actually. Not really an option though is it?

On the note of the advert it’s s but sad that they just use wrinkly versions of their usual skinny models. Seasalt use some truly beautiful older models who don’t look like freeze dried versions of their thirteen year old selves.
