Thanks for that link BettyDuMonde,
Another Australian psycho (maybe he was the one I read about?)
That 'alchetron' page is interesting in that it's just a copy from Wikipedia.
But it's not on Wikipedia any more.
Why not? The Wikifiddlers deleted it, saying it's an 'Attack page or negative unsourced BLP'
en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Log&page=Nicole+Louise+Pearce
The grounds for deletion are here:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Biographies_of_living_persons/Noticeboard/Archive268#Nicole_Louise_Pearce
"The article reads like a POV piece demonising the subject, "
"I am not denying that the actions perpetrated by the subject of the article (as described in the sources) are awful, but there are several very problematic aspects to the article, such as discussion of the gender identity of the person as if that were a factor, "
And the reply from a fellow Wikifdildder
"That is indeed terrible. I've taken a somewhat unusual measure, perhaps, by redirecting the article to Murder of Peter Aston. It strikes me as in line with BLP1E, and the edit history shows that the article creator, who indeed seems to be an SPA, is up against various editors who cite WP policy more appropriately. User:Crimescrutineer, you can make your case on the article talk page. That discussion, along with this one, will decide the fate of the article. In the meantime I will not hesitate to block you if you continue the edit warring or undo the redirect. "
The contributor is disparaged as a 'SPA', i.e. a single-purpose account, because they dared to write an article about a murderer who happens to be transgender.
This is despite an editing history in other areas of crime
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Crimescrutineer
that don't relate to that particular killer.
The Wikifiddlers really are shameless.
