MNHQ closing this board *MNHQ edited to say OH NO WE AREN'T!*

A few months ago we saw loads of posts about how this board could close and there was an attack on advertisers to boycott mumsnet. It occurs to me that I've not seen that in a while. Any idea why?

When I first questioning the gender agenda on another forum a poster there advised me to come here. I've been here ever since, abandoning that other forum which seemed too woke. I suspect I'm typical for many ordinary women who weren't in any way radical feminists before, but since discovering how by stealth our rights are being seriously undermined have become not just angry but raging!
This is the place. And there's nothing "they" can do about us because we're here now and we know.

Can't see this happening at all, regardless of how many TRAs want it. Targeting advertisers seemed to get them nowhere. MN has been instrumental in bringing this nonsense out into sunlight. I do wonder how far any of this would have gone if MN did decide to go the way of near all other forums and refuse to let us talk. The guidelines are annoying at times, but necessary I think.

I am sure Datun with her stats, said FWR was the second most popular board these days, after AIBU.

I just thank goodness that MN is here. Like many, I initially wondered why there was so much “anti trans” stuff on this thread - which I rarely visited. Once I actually appreciated what was going on, I am just so grateful that there is a sane haven to go to.

I have to say I had no idea what FWR was and after ages of watching twaddle on AIBU, finally got the courage to come and have a look... and stayed. I talk rubbish a lot but it is nice not to be shouted down (usually).
