I love Ozon, and this was the film that 'Base-Camp Transed' me when it came out (before The Danish Girl)
Ozon is very non-judgemental and forgiving of all our flaws. He's a gay man who clearly adores women. He flags up the autoerotic element in cross-dressing, and always leaves you wondering what you should think of people without ever giving away his own views.
