Apologies if there is already a thread about this, but I found this by accident on the bbc:

www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/w172w4pxcth6mmt

Hopefully the link works. I was just looking for transgender on the BBC. This was broadcast yesterday and is available for just a few days.

Interesting to listen to. The piece is titled 'Are transgender women a 'threat' to female sport?'

BBC World Service has apparently no-platformed RMK...

Bet RMK didn't think it was a waste of time when other programmes dumped their opponents because RMK threw a strop about taking their ball away if the other "side" was given airtime. Now you know how it feels RMK. Taste of your own medicine.

Thank you MillytantForceit. I can never remember how to do links.

It was definitely interesting, shame it was relegated to the World Service. Not sure what the listening figures are.

Interesting about attempts to reduce testosterone levels permitted to 5 instead of the current 10. Still too high though. There seemed to be agreed that residual benefit remains, but that differs between sports. Potentially meaning transwomen should only get to compete in sports where they would have no advantage. Such as gymnastics. Probably not cycling though.

They may have found a talking head who will talk even when the other side is represented. They found that ICO doctor for the piece on Friday(?) didn't they?

There are Americans who listen to BBC The World/PRI — not sure if every story airs on our public radio stations, but hoping so — thank you muchly!

ICJump · 10/03/2019 20:23

We get bbc world service here (Australia) as part of a new radio station.

Maybe I've been listening to anti BBC propaganda Blush. Tends to go on about the World Service as being a waste of space. Good to hear it is listened to.
