Sharron actually made me get a bit of a tear in my eye this morning.

I love how they are refusing to be cowed by the bullying tactics.

They are real life Super Sheros.

These are legendary sportswomen who are protecting the future of women's sport. They could have sat back and let others point out the unfairness, the cheating and the potential eradication of women's sport, but they chose to speak out. All credit to them.

I certainly believe that the self-discipline and determination that they possess in great measure to become sports superstars, is manifest in their poise, composure and conviction in defending sport for women and girls.

It feels like taking home a hoard of medals all over again. I gives me a similar high to witnessing their sporting victories.

I look at the girls in DS's rugby team and think "thank heavens for brave women prepared to speak out", because without you, they won't have a future in the sport.
