Will be interesting if Goldacre or Brian Cox physicist or any one in popular science sees this gathering speed and finally gathers their nerves to hop on, having been silent on this.

TRAs have way less ethical integrity and less science behind them than anti-animal-testing extremists, anti vaxxers and the pharmaceutical companies who conceal drug trial results and women have been shouting about this for years now.

Maybe Transgender Trend, FPFW or LAWS or Man Friday could coproduce some of their sceptic events? This after Stephanie Davies Arai got shortlisted for the John Maddox award, after a nom from Andy Lewis/Le canard noir. (Which is not celebrated enough- a really really heartening result- thanks to both! )

It made me laugh that someone described it as "pretentious" when it's the exact opposite. These people really do take a Humpty Dumpty view of the meaning of words.
