Elsewhere you may learn that Angel is aka 'David'

Angel was recently begging for money on Gofundme

I am not really sure about Angel's tattoos, any ideas what's going on there?

Neck and facial tattoos are very much in among certain communities in SF, not necessarily trans but people who are into body modification generally.

As for ‘Angel’, well I guess that’s just another dangerous violent person who will be off to serve their sentence in a women’s prison soon...

QuietContraryMary · 02/03/2019 02:54

I was wondering if they were gang-related I couldn't really see.

#neverhappens

RiddleyW · 02/03/2019 05:56

None of those articles describe angel as a woman do they? Genuine apologies if I’m missing something.

BickerinBrattle · 02/03/2019 06:57

The Examiner article uses “she” in reference to Angel throughout and doesn’t at all indicate trans status. A reader would have no reason not to assume Angel is female.

The kron article, though, has a picture of Angel and references the aka of David, so a reader can sort out that Angel is male.

Pending conviction, in that part of California, Angel is almost certainly being housed in a female county jail. If convicted, however, Angel will be sent to a male state prison. California has special facilities for vulnerable male prisoners and transwomen are usually sent there.

GeorgeFayne · 02/03/2019 07:00

The first article in the SF Examiner refers to Angel with the pronoun "she."

FemalePersonator · 02/03/2019 08:24

A "woman" who bears an uncanny resemblance to a man.

Still, it never happens.

shrug
