Reported quite differently on the BBC. The delivery by C-section was effectively a late abortion because the alternative was too risky for the pregnant child. Delays due to lack of clarity over parental consent as she was raped by her grandmothers partner (she lived with GM)

Utterly sickening. The poor child reportedly attempted suicide over the delay.

This appears to have been a court-ordered abortion on the legal-in-Argentina grounds of danger to the mother's life. Why it was not done earlier given the age of the child is not clear.

The BBC say that the GM had parental responsibility which was revoked when it transpired the child was raped by her partner. Thus a certain limbo around who could consent?

The girl was clear that she wanted an abortion.

Sounds like the delays were at least semi deliberate and then the instruction to the hosp was not t abort (save both lives) which they are then denying.

Fuckigng outrageous.
