Peaked over periods

Well ladies I’ve finally peaked to peak all peaks.

I’ve been lurking for some time, following threads here, Reddit, twitter etc.

I was quite liberal about these issues for a long while - it seemed the liberal thing to do, ‘live and let live’ and all that.

I think my first query was Jenner winning woman of the year, which seemed... typical I suppose.

Since then, it feels like an ever-escalating series of events. But I digress.

I’ve been reliably (!) informed that Transwomen get periods (minus bleeding). They get breast tenderness, moodswings and cramps apparently. Every month without fail.

This cannot, cannot possibly be right? Are periods the next battleground?

I suppose after drugs and hormones its possible? Not otherwise.

maslinpan · 25/02/2019 17:06

Breast tenderness?? What, in their silicone boobs?

AgnesNaismith · 25/02/2019 17:07

Surely this would only happen if the hormones were bespoke, so they varied on a daily basis as that’s what gives the mood changes/tenderness etc.

Ohfuxx · 25/02/2019 17:08

Well that's no a period is it?

And cramping of what? They have no uterine walls.

Probably fantasy psychological

AgnesNaismith · 25/02/2019 17:08

And yes I was going to say in their fake boobs!? But doesn’t oestrogen make them grow to a certain extent?

Fairenuff · 25/02/2019 17:09

You can only have periods if you have a uterus. So no, they don't.

ToeToToe · 25/02/2019 17:09

Apparently the bleeding that comes with womanly periods is just a trifling matter - and in fact, transwomen have the worstest periods ever.

It must be true, TRAs said so on twitter Wink

The worst is the physiological autogynephilia, where women's periods/sanpro are fetishised. Some of that stuff is sickening.

Babdoc · 25/02/2019 17:11

A period is the cyclical shedding of menstrual blood from a uterus. So no, they are not having periods. They are possibly getting side effects from female hormones being administered to a male body.

BuffetLurker · 25/02/2019 17:13

It surely isn’t possibly to get those symptoms from a result daily dose of hormones though - it’s the changes caused by e.g. ovulating which drive the change in hormone levels, is it not?

Between this and ‘being a woman is a feeling’, I think I may have to being more publicly vocal. It’s getting increasingly imaginary.

If your oestrogen level drops, you get a headache (withdrawal). Probably not keeping meds stable

As for cramps - what's cramping Confused

maslinpan · 25/02/2019 17:15

Very much looking forward to being told how TW experience even more painful menopause symptoms than us mere biological women....

Melroses · 25/02/2019 17:18

If you look on reddit, there are particular people who delight in used protection, so to speak. WinkWink

DpWm · 25/02/2019 17:22

you're not the first to peak over this

OnlineAlienator · 25/02/2019 17:23

In fairness it isnt JUST my uterus that hurts during a period. Yes, fluctuating hormones cause the symptoms, but what triggers the release of the hormones? Hmm genuinely interested, never thought to question it before!

PatchworkGirl · 25/02/2019 17:23

I don't get breast tenderness. Think I'm doing it wrong...

BettyDuMonde · 25/02/2019 17:23

Melroses beat me to it!

Melroses · 25/02/2019 17:25

Melroses beat me to it!

It is one of those things you can never unsee [jealous]

Melroses · 25/02/2019 17:25

Bum! I meant Envy

Whatisthisfuckery · 25/02/2019 17:25

If they’re getting cramps they probably need to go for a poo. Full of shit, that’ll be it.

DpWm · 25/02/2019 17:26

Shoving a tampon up your bum ain't the same thing hun......

BuffetLurker · 25/02/2019 17:28

Oh I’m not the only one to have peaked - I’m not sure if that’s better or worse.

picklemepopcorn · 25/02/2019 17:29

Are they on a stable dose of hormone, or is it cyclical a bit like the pill?

HamiltonCork · 25/02/2019 17:29

If they are having unexplained pain then they should see the doctor.

anomoony · 25/02/2019 17:30

I suppose after drugs and hormones its possible? Not otherwise.

Not even then, I think. The symptoms that come from periods are from the uterine lining slouching off and releasing something..
