If they decide perhaps a struck off GP is unwise I'm sure Dr Haddock would be happy to take a break from his holiday and Skype an interview. Grin

BessyK · 22/02/2019 19:39

Complained to the BBC again - what arseholes.

DoctoressPlague · 22/02/2019 19:41

Careful, BBC.

EDITORIAL GUIDELINES Section 8: Reporting Crime and Anti-Social Behaviour

8.4.17 Interviews with active or convicted criminals must not glamorise wrongdoing, celebrate the flouting of the judicial process or reveal the detail that would enable a crime to be copied.

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 22/02/2019 19:42

I hope there's a phone in.

There won't be.

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 22/02/2019 19:45

Let them do it.

I also want them to do it.
We can all see what is happening, the sooner the public stop obeying the easier it will be for is to protect each other.

MillytantForceit · 22/02/2019 19:45

"Complained to the BBC again...."

Which is maybe what they want?

This has not been announced by the BBC. The same guest on two consecutive programmes is, shall we say, unlikely.

FermatsTheorem · 22/02/2019 19:50

I think Millitant is right - there's a high probability we're being played, via a tweet which has the BBC logo included on it but has nothing to do with the BBC. Plenty time to complain if it does take place. (Having checked the schedules, I too had that thought about "but they're completely different programmes at 11.30 and 2.00")

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 22/02/2019 19:50

If the doctor isn't on there can be a reverse of what happened a few days ago can't there.
But with less public support.

DoctoressPlague · 22/02/2019 19:53

No point complaining before it has been broadcast!

And you never know, it could be a robust interview with tough questions. /s

Melroses · 22/02/2019 19:59

Hmm interesting. Probably best just to wait and see. They will be hoist by their own petard if they do it anyway.

Looking forward to that robust interview lol.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 22/02/2019 20:03

It does sound like a very trolly post - asking Webberleys opinion on the GMC and HIW...

MillytantForceit · 25/02/2019 11:29

Now tuned to Emma Barnett in eager (cough) anticipation of this.

We're currently on a robotic hands-free clitoral massager.

(Not literally)

2019StandingforWomen · 25/02/2019 11:33

Enjoy Milly

EweSurname · 25/02/2019 11:34

GenderGP have been notified by @bbc5live that the recorded segment with @MyWebDoctorUK has been postponed until a later date.

This is so that full focus can be given to the interview, away from current news stories regarding the @TaviAndPort

We will update once info is known.

MillytantForceit · 25/02/2019 11:35

....Bumped off in favour of a dildo.

Embarrassing?

I don’t think the public will care. I think our msedia should push the envelope on all controversy.

silentcrow · 25/02/2019 11:44

BBC lawyers have woken up, then Grin

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 25/02/2019 11:45

Such a trolly thing to do in the first place wasn't it.

Datun · 25/02/2019 11:45

I'd say their the law department has woken up, yes.

It will be interesting, with all the revelations this week, whether they are truly thinking hang on a minute, perhaps we have got this wrong.

SharkBastard · 25/02/2019 11:47

Raging transphobe

BBC 5 Live to feature HELEN WEBBERLEY!!!
Datun · 25/02/2019 11:59

A doctor who has been convicted of running an illegal clinic drugging children is laughing at Stella O'Malley being called a raging transphobe?

I'm going to stick my neck out here and predict that Webberley's postponement as a gender pundit on the radio is going to be a tad longer than she anticipates.

2019StandingforWomen · 25/02/2019 12:06

This is interesting

Looking at her twitter page there was very little support for her and a great deal of condemnation

I am hoping the BBC is finally waking up

We should not be telling children it is possible to be trapped in the wrong body and medicating them and anyone who is ethical and cares about their medical well being will know this

R0wantrees · 25/02/2019 12:21

In September 2018 Nicky Campbell gave Dr Helen Webberley a sympathetic platform on 5Live. He described her as "top of the expert mountain" on this issue.

Highlights included an NHS doctor when asked to define basic terminology,

Dr Webberley said "Biological sex is a tricky one" but 'cis-gender' is easier to define.

Also she didn't think much beyond the fact of procreation there is any relevence in seperating male and female.

Dr Helen Webberley said everyone else needs educating.

(Im not sure if its still available to listen to)

I am hoping the BBC is finally waking up

Radio 4 Today program had some serious interviews this morning and BBC1 Panorama tonight is covering the medical treatment of children who believe they are transgender.
