I mean, really. She's magnificent.

Yeah she rocks. It must be so hard to be a lesbian writer shunned by so many LGBT. But she's standing firm.

People like this make me hopeful that one day there may be a resurrection of something like MitchFest.

What was lost is more precious after it has been returned, and all that.

I’ve just read yet another “L”GBTQUERTY article condemning AfterEllen. They simply cannot bear that it has a different editorial policy to them. I swear if they could yell “burn the witch!” they would.

I'm a lesbian and I'm ashamed to say I'd never heard of her. But I found this on the After Ellen site:

and it's brace and stunning and right. Most of the lesbian groups and organisations that I'm aware of are flying low: word of mouth and not much more in case they are targeted.

The lesbian community has to stop hiding and cowering and proudly promote L-only events, but as I know after recent attempts to get lesbians to protest in my area, they are scared. There are many lesbians who find it easier to sit on the fence when it comes to trans issues out of fear of offending their friends and finding themselves boycotted socially. Any movement that works like a witch-hunt — that makes examples of certain individuals in order to scare everyone else into submission — is not one I will subscribe to.
