Thank you for the sharetoken. her open dialogue with young people sounds great. I really like her optimism but I am not sure that internet companies are going to self regulate for a long time.. will take massive loss of traffic and ad revenue for them to do stuff differently.

Her focus on the fact that we live in a rape culture where boys expect sex of any girl they call their 'girlfriend' must, surely, go some way to explaining the number of teenage girls fleeing into the 'safety' of transgender and the number who later, if listened to and supported, desist.

I've not read the article but I'm not sure expecting sex in a relationship is supporting rape culture (unless we're talking about bullying/coercion).

The age of consent is there for a reason. And even above then ...wtf? I had plenty of boyfriends with no sex before age 18. It's entirely normal.
