It's a terrible time to be a woman at the moment. A friend of mine just spotted a load of these posters in the centre of Manchester. It seems it's fine to incite people to commit violent actions towards women....

Astonishes me how a fair few people would have us believe that anyone and everyone who declares themselves 'trans' is automatically a good, harmless person.
But it's not just that, is it? It's NATWALT, so if you flag up unacceptable behaviour from a TRA or even lots of TRAs it is just an 'aberration', same way that Rose West doesn't stand for all women. Or something like that. Either way, it's not a good idea to treat people as a bloc. Feminists don't like it, men don't like it. No one likes being treated as if they belong to a monolithic culture.

But that's not what you're doing here. Calling out appalling behaviour is just that, whoever committed the act complained about. Being trans doesn't give anyone magic exemption, despite what Cllr Gibson seems to think.

Sorry, your post covers that scenario, I misread it slightly as that they genuinely believe that all trans people are beyond reproach.

Police are investigating and class it as a hate crime if anyone sees anymore there is a crime log number in the screen shot if it works.

It's not necessarily a "hate crime" as misogyny isn't included but it is a potential crime under public order act I think.

TRAs have now progressed to offences in real life that would come under the heading of 'violent extremism'.

CPS define Violent Extremism as

"The demonstration of unacceptable behaviour by using any means or medium to express views, which:

*Encourage, justify or glorify terrorist violence in furtherance of particular beliefs;
*Seek to provoke others to terrorist acts;
*Encourage other serious criminal activity or seek to provoke others to serious criminal acts;
*Foster hatred which might lead to inter-community violence in the UK."

The Police/CPS might view the material in the same way that they approach the investigation of extremists in Animal Rights groups, EDL, hate preachers and so forth.

It's about time that the campaign of inciting violence against GC people was taken seriously.

Back in the dark ages I wrote to my MP showing the AFTH tweets calling for violence and inquiring why the government were inviting a group representative to give evidence to select committees when there is a word for using violence to achieve political aims. He didn't answer me.

I must send him a postcard to update him about that same representative's alleged issues with flashing their penis in public places when not training public bodies that self identified women are absolutely no sexual risk in women's spaces.

These people are being emboldened by the complete lack of condemnation from most.of our politiicans and media (and in a lot of cases outright hostility towards GC women). Where will it end? It's scary.
