Brief interview. Tucker less obnoxious than usual, Julia clear and direct. Brava! I admire her ability to finish a sentence decisively.

Their conversation may seem elementary to UK viewers, but please remember the media situation here is completely different. US media have given gender critical views next to no airing so far. This is an important beginning.

Julia is the Baltimore lesbian activist who appeared on the panel (The Inequality of the Equality Act: Concerns from the Left) at Heritage during the Women Stand Up week in Washington. The speakers on that panel (and certain audience members!) have taken a lot of flak for being there, but the fact is that their appearance there has generated more media coverage than any other action the past several years so far as I'm aware. And it's still going.

Contrast this with the NYT's hit piece the other day, with no right of reply offered the women targeted.

I think transwomen were in women’s prisons until a group of female inmates sued. Then the Trump administration changed their prisons policy so that transwomen are only allowed in women’s in “rare cases”.

It’s so irritating to me to agree with something the Trump administration does and that left-wing women have nowhere to go to be heard but right-wing media and lobby groups. The Obama administration really created a mess for women and girls with this.

I’m no fan of Tucker Carlson and I hate Fox News but good on Julia Beck. She was strong, clear and fearless. We need more women like her standing up for ‘biological reality’ as she put it.

One of the things I find so frustrating about my gender critical stance is how it pushes me into the arms - figuratively speaking - of people like Ben Shapiro and Tucker Carlson. I disagree with them on 90% of everything else they say and some of their views are awful - racist, xenophobic, bordering on an MRA stance in some cases.

But what’s a gender critical biological gal to do? Absolutely nobody on the left is willing to be honest or even logical on this issue.
