Some of you who aren't total haters come across as sheep who are yourselves repressed trans individuals worried about coming out and being liberated.

You say you don't conform to Gendered stereotypes but you are also afraid to discard them and truly be free of 'sex' altogether, it makes no sense.
It's funny and confusing to see you go around in circles with your wrong and confusing logic, "I'm a woman but i don't like pink and have short hair", sorry to break it to you but this isn't the words of a woman, you are a repressed transgender person, you are a man!

Woman wouldn't say half the stuff that is said here, look at yourselves, most, if not all of you are probably male brained.

It's nothing to be scared of, you are special and brave to admit it rather than constantly assume it's bad and to try.

Ask yourselves this, would actual women plot the destruction of a small minority group like you people are?

Oh, oh! Hold on OP before you define me - I forgot to list my appearance.
I sometimes wear make up, and prefer dresses for comfort. However, today I'm barefaced and have jeans on.

Wrybread · 13/02/2019 10:55

So how do you explain this?

(Hint: Gender is something our society imposes on people because of their perceived biological sex)

Barbie is a sterling example of resilience in the face of the gender struggle.

I think this is something that we can all agree with.

IamFrauBlucher · 13/02/2019 10:56

So you never have feminine thoughts, so you can't comment, but you can judge others on your own sliding scale of femininity, which somehow you've thought about and defined based on clothing colour preference, but not baking and sewing.

Is that because you can learn to cook, iron and sew in the army, but not wear pink camouflage?

Just taking a stab at this, again on behalf of the lads here...

But if you could clarify with your man brain, that'd be great.

Threewheeler1 · 13/02/2019 10:56

So evolution, which takes millions of years, is the same as a bit of computer software (which I can purchase, install, upgrade in minutes)?....

Terrycotta · 13/02/2019 10:56

So you consider her a role model?

Not to me, but she apparently is for a lot of girls, millions in fact.

I've read the first page and this page; does anything actually interesting or revolutionary happen in between?

HopeMumsnet · 13/02/2019 10:57

Hi all,
While the uncivil and goading tone of the opening post does breach our trans guidelines, we do feel that this has been an interesting thread that gives worthwhile insight into issues not often explored on our boards, so we are locking rather than deleting the thread.

Datun · 13/02/2019 10:57

Its a piss take HQ. A joke.

LangCleg · 13/02/2019 10:57

Is Windows XP male or female? I'm struggling to keep up with the pace of change in OP's wondrous transhumanist utopia.

Datun · 13/02/2019 10:57

I think...

BiologyNotBigotry · 13/02/2019 10:58

This thread is hilarious! Good one, OP!

This is a joke, right?!

If I self-ID as a spider, can I spin webs? That would be super useful when the DC that I grew in my uterus are running away from me because I won't buy them chocolate.

My DD was playing with a train the other day... Should I be changing her name to something more manly? Although she does also enjoy playing with her doll & cuddles anything she can get her hands on... Maybe I should go for a gender neutral name for now...

Terrycotta · 13/02/2019 10:58

you can learn to cook, iron and sew in the army

I didn't know this, but it makes sense, they are good skills for all people to have.

Hope! It's a kid on half term! FFS!

ReaganSomerset · 13/02/2019 10:58

So, what are the characteristics of a female-minded person? We don't stick at the same job or career, like pink and have long hair. Can we think critically? Should we be denied the vote or are we intelligent enough to weight the pros and cons? What other characteristics do we possess?

(I like purple best and have long hair, so deffo a ladybrain-unless the ladybrains only like pink?)

Datun · 13/02/2019 10:59

I didn't know this, but it makes sense, they are good skills for all people to have.

Indeed. That why my four sons play with Wendy houses and ironing boards.

ReaganSomerset · 13/02/2019 10:59

*weigh

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 13/02/2019 10:59

That is because most male brained people stick to a career, while it's harder for female brained people

Oh i like it Grin

OldCrone · 13/02/2019 11:00

Sex as a feature to define people is being phased out, i don't know if it was important in the past but right now a lot of places are saying it's not necessary.

Aren't you talking about gender, here, not sex? Sex is the categorisation of people according to reproductive function. If we phase this out, we will die out. Gender can be phased out because it's the categorisation of people according to stereotypical roles associated with their sex.

So I would say that it's gender (the socially constructed roles) which need to be phased out. Would you agree, Terry?

ReaganSomerset · 13/02/2019 11:00

Also, if a man likes pink and has long hair but works as a bricklayer and does lots of DIY and barbecuing, is he a man or a woman?

Terrycotta · 13/02/2019 11:00

That why my four sons play with Wendy houses and ironing boards.

That's good, they need to explore these things as children.

OP posts:
HopeMumsnet · 13/02/2019 11:00

We can leave it if you like, but it has received several reports for goading and incivility, so we felt that locking was a good compromise?

HumberElla · 13/02/2019 11:00

Hugely entertaining! Keep going OP!

Datun · 13/02/2019 11:01

How do you categorise football, OP?

In this country it's considers more a man's game, in the US it's a woman's game and considered sissy for men.

Are we more evolved! Have you told them!

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 13/02/2019 11:01

hopemumsnet

The further this has gone the more i agree
