Thanks to Fair Play For Women, and everyone else who have raised this.

Ebay have listened to concerns and very quickly removed the advert : "Thanks for bringing this to our attention. It is not allowed to advertise this way on eBay and it is no longer on our site. ~Destin"

Why anybody thinks gender neutral/mixed sex toilets/changing rooms as the norm is acceptable is beyond me. I think I learned from a very young age (about 7) that boys and men will go to any lengths to see women naked/undressing. When the primary aged boys used to try and sneak in when the primary age girls were changing for swimming. They also liked to show us their willies.

I grew up in the 70s - before the advent of mobile phones/dick pics/ lady penises. It was rampant then, it's worse now because of the technology.

It's so normalised now, I'm pleasantly surprised that Ebay took such swift action. Thank you ebay.

And thanks to Dr Nic for being fabulous, yet again.

Perhaps it's reassuringly inexpensive.... Easy to break free

userschmoozer · 07/02/2019 01:05

Plastic is going to be awfully sweaty. I should imagine.

Iused2BanOptimist · 07/02/2019 07:10

I had a pair of shoes de-listed recently and had to remove 'velcro' from the title and description.

Eh? No Velcro? I get that it's presumably a trade name but how else would you describe it? "Fastened with tape with nylon interlinking hooky things"...

Sorry. Derail. Wink

That Twitter account has blocked me!
I've only done 2 tweets (both GC), and have managed so far not to get blocked by TRAs

Confused
Fazackerley · 07/02/2019 07:38

used clothing??!

ImNotKitten · 07/02/2019 08:30

I guess by used clothing they mean worn but not washed. Some perverts buy ‘used’ or soiled clothes as a weird kink.

Fazackerley · 07/02/2019 08:34

The fact that there is celebration about getting one ad removed from ebay, that contravenes their own policies, and is advertised as being good for an illegal activity, specifically hidden filming of women /girls when they think they are in private and are getting undressed,

Is really depressing.

Yes it's good they pulled out but that's a bare fucking minimum isn't it.

If people were selling drugs on there would they somehow find the ability to be more proactive? Or items that could be used as weapons with imagery saying that?

My guess is a big yes.

thatdamnwoman · 07/02/2019 08:45

The coat hook spy camera is still there — and is it just me or has the hook been designed to look like an erect penis?

I read the eBay response as they removed this one advert because of the way it was advertised not because of what it was. And they're notoriously lax so it's an administrative victory of them, actually abiding by their own laws about sexy content for once.

userschmoozer · 07/02/2019 09:21

Iused2BanOptimist Ikr? Grin In the end I went with 'rip tape'.

You're not wrong there. It occurred to me last night just after posting - I guess it demonstrates just how battered I'm feeling from this onslaught against women's privacy.

I agree. They can act fast enough when it looks like you are listing an item that infringes copyright. I had a pair of shoes de-listed recently and had to remove 'velcro' from the title and description.

Derailing but I can confirm this as it's happened to me too.

Put Velcro in the description section and not in the title line and you'll probably be fine...Wink

Just had a quick look on eBay and there's still lots of women in underwear promoting these cameras.

NothingOnTellyAgain · 08/02/2019 07:55

Or,

Companies using women in underwear to promote these

Deliriumoftheendless · 08/02/2019 17:53

Hook and loop fastening.

It would be bugging me if someone remember.
