A Period Emoji Has Received The Go-Ahead

I’m all for removing the shame of periods but when would you ever need this? I can’t say my menstrual cycle comes up that often when I’m texting or updating my FB status.

I think they should have done a red version of the Japanese wave emoji. “Surfing the crimson wave” was one of my favourite period euphemisms when I was in school.

I would have thought it would be possible to have a stylised uterus with a blood drop(s) showing? But maybe that's too biological.

I'm so bored with period chat. I get why we need to raise awareness about cultures with menstruation huts etc but in this country, its a no from me.

I think that was one of the options in the first vote Assassinated.
