James Caspian - oral hearing granted

I've just received this email.

Dear Friends and Supporters,

I'm pleased to be able to tell you that the High Court has allowed us an oral hearing to apply for permission for a Judicial Review of Bath Spa University's vetoing of my research into people reversing their gender transitions.

This means that for the first time my barrister will be able to speak publicly about why this case is important and to ask the judge to grant us a Judicial review in the High Court.

The hearing will be at The Royal Courts of Justice on the Strand, London WC2A 2LL, on Tuesday 19th February. If you are press and would like to attend with me the court number and hearing time will be available from 2.30pm on 18th February.

It has taken almost two years to get to this stage, after repeated refusals from the court based on technicalities. It would not have been possible without your support and donations to my Crowdjustice campaign. I continue to need your support, and for you to tell other people about the case if we are to continue - either to Judicial Review, or to Appeal should the court refuse us permission.

I have in the last month done interviews for RTE Irish television; French media; Radio Canada; and journalists from the Swedish public broadcaster SVT are coming to the UK to attend the hearing on 19th February and to report on it and interview me. This has been a fairly typical month media wise, and while we have been waiting for the court to contact us I have been speaking constantly about my research and my clinical experience of ten years working in the 'trans' field, and my observations of how it has changed.

Please continue to Tweet, share on Facebook, pledge again to my page if you are able to, and help me to get this case the hearing that it deserves. I believe it is fundamental to our democracy that controversial subjects can be discussed and researched, and this case is at the heart of that.

Best wishes,

  James.

P.S. Here is an interview you may like to read which I did in Humanum Review humanumreview.com/articles/a-gender-therapist-asks-questions

This is an interesting section of the linked article, but I think he's being kind, this is not unconscious, we are being deliberately manipulated as we well know.

From a Jungian perspective, I think we need to understand how the collective unconscious comes into this. We need to get at the deep reasons why this political bandwagon has gathered so much momentum. We need to understand this “shadow” phenomenon where people who question are vilified and silenced, and people are afraid to say what they think. It comes up time and time again throughout human history. Why has gender now become such a political flash point? It has become impossible to have a critical discussion about it. Critical thinking is being confused with criticism, and criticism is being confused with attacking people. Maybe the “shadow” of liberalism is repression: we are not allowed to think, let alone speak, critically. Jung would say that some things come out of the collective unconscious, manifest, then subside again. In the meantime, we need to be circumspect with how we allow these manifestations to affect vulnerable individuals, and we need to allow people to talk, and to question.

This is great news - such an important area of research and essential to be able to talk about the fact that some people do detransition, and their reasons for doing so

Brilliant news! Well done to James Caspian for sticking with this and not giving up. I admire his tenacity, it's been a long battle to get to this point.

Maria Miller recently said something like she didn't know why everyone was so focused on the GRA when the Real Problem was trans health.

So let's shine a giant spotlight on health issues like giving experimental drugs to children, learn-as-we-go irreversible cross-sex hormone regimes, very young women having double mastectomies and hysterectomies, the utter butchery of genital surgery, the destruction of fertility and sexual function and the complete failure to support detransitioners and the broader failure to provide adequate mental health support for any of the casualties of this ideology.

Also the shocking demands that women make their bodies available to bear children for those whose fertility has been destroyed by this cult and the shocking demands that cosmetic surgery should take precedence over life saving treatment.

Fantastic news.

snowbear66 · 05/02/2019 23:50

This is great news.

Pencils

Well put.

Explain what you mean Maria Miller. Very few people would describe any of those interventions listed as "health". And yet your government pays people to go into schools and sell them to children.

Well done, been following this with interest. I hope the Times cover this and get it all out in the open. Knowledge is power, research is key.

On a personal note your persistence is inspiring, thank you.

Fantastic. I will be so interested to see how this goes
