Yes newt though I have had more of the hands-both-sides-of-the-waist-when-squeezing-past manoeuvre so I hope they extend to the sides.

OP teen treasures the ashes of our cat that died when she was three. In a pretty china urn with forget me nots on. I'd be quite glad to get rid of it tbh.
Then again she may find the spirit of the cat is her guardian angel one day so maybe we should keep it just in case. Grin
