Unfortunately the tweet has now been deleted so you can’t see how royally Liam was getting his arse handed to him on Twitter, but here’s the original tweet in case your blood pressure isn’t high enough already today.

Ah GMP who think domestic abuse is "not nice but not a crime" when you report 12 years of incidents including rape. GMP are shit ime and this stunt does not surprise me at all.

I thought the recipient of an insult was supposed to decide whether it's an insult or not, not the giver.

So if feminists say terf is offensive, then it is.

ErrolTheDragon · 01/02/2019 17:04

Did anyone point out to Liam that women are routinely the victims of horrific attacks, and that he might like to gains some insight into women's rights?

DodoPatrol · 01/02/2019 17:05

'Latin for remain'

Snort.

AncientLights · 01/02/2019 17:09

But I would like to gain some insight into trans rights. Specifically what rights they think they should have that they don't have already.

Beerflavourednipples · 01/02/2019 17:17

Well exactly. Isn't this why terms like 'retarded' and 'spastic' are no longer acceptable (amongst many others), because they were used as insults and therefore became offensive, even though to start with they were mere 'descriptors'?

Juells · 01/02/2019 17:20

..and why that awful poem was deemed a hate incident by Humberside police?

theOtherPamAyres · 01/02/2019 17:21

Note the mindset and the wholesale, unquestioning acceptance of Stonewall's propaganda training.

The officer genuinely and sincerely believes that transgender people suffer horrific assaults and murders, disproprotionately. He's keen to share that perspective because he thinks it will save lives. He is dismissive and patronising when people think differently because he believes that opponents are probably transphobic. He hasn't the faintest idea that his views on policing transphobia are considered controversial, dangerous, disproprotionate and at odds with the principle of 'policing by consent'.

It's not his fault that he thinks of himself as enlightened and doing some brave and stunning work. His Chief Constable needs a kick up the arse. In fact, all Chief Constables need to hand back their Stonewall Diversity Champion awards and respond to the furore.

Melroses · 01/02/2019 17:22

'Latin for remain' Snort.

I think he is getting things a little mixed up with the old Brexit debate here Grin

RedemptiveCrocodile · 01/02/2019 17:24

I'd like to pay them a visit, but apparently this event is no longer open to the public. Cowards.

AspieAndProud · 01/02/2019 17:27

If trans means to move away how come transwomen think they are moving towards womanhood?

AspieAndProud · 01/02/2019 17:28

Can’t we demand copies of deleted tweets under the Freedom of Information Act?

TimeStops · 01/02/2019 17:32

Is there a record of the various misogynistic police forces behavior? The tweets and arrests?

Considering in two weeks we will be under new civil unrest Brexit laws and there are all these thought police around, we should maybe get something in the press soon?

OdeToDiazepam · 01/02/2019 17:43

I'd love to have seen the replies

TransposersArePosers · 01/02/2019 18:10

No longer open to the public RedemptiveCrocodile?

So who is it open to?

Thingybob · 01/02/2019 18:14

OdeToDiazepam

You can if you are signed into Twitter, just search '@GMPCityCentre' There are hundreds of tweets there.

Melroses · 01/02/2019 18:16

You can search without being signed into twitter and get the advantage of not being blocked Wink

Trinity1976 · 01/02/2019 18:22

And 'Paki' is just short for Pakistani yet somehow I don't think he'd be ok with people using that term these days.

MillytantForceit · 01/02/2019 18:29

"Cis is simply Latin..."

Negro, anyone?

(And P*ki is simply Urdu for a pure person...)

NeurotrashWarrior · 01/02/2019 18:36

It's a slur and excludes trans men by default.

Datun · 01/02/2019 18:45

What a load of sexist nonsense this is.

When Harry the Owl described, sorry no didn't describe, actually just liked a tweet by somebody else who described the factual anatomy of a transwoman, the police visited him for thought crime.

Just a description, my arse.

ClosdesMouches · 01/02/2019 18:46

Alan Henness has screenshots on his Twitter account of the other, now deleted, tweets that were made by GMP. I can't link to the tweet, sorry.

Oxytocindeficient · 01/02/2019 19:04

Yeah, should we start a thread compiling evidence of police misogyny and gaslighting?
