I was once in a small cafe queue waiting to buy a cuppa and the counter was manned by a man and a female teenage assistant. I'd heard of middle aged women being invisible but when 2 people who were clearly behind me in the queue of 3 were served before me, before I was greeted with, 'oh did you want something love?' I did feel like it was just a bit too literal!

61, fat, and i’ve had more attention in the last few years than in the rest of my life ... be happy and get on with your life and they’ll be desperate to get their leg over.

Who writes those Daily Mash things? Must be a woman, they're spot on. I'm blonde, over 60, and it's been clear to me for a long time now that I get 'hit on' when my hair gets below a certain length. Oh, and if I wear a skirt.

It says quite a lot that I find the most insightful journalism on women in the UK is the Dailymash.
