Isn’t this the joker that said other cultures forcing children aged 12 into marriage with older men was ok, as is their way of life?

Iused2BanOptimist · 28/01/2019 12:37

Damn. I wish I'd screenshotted and saved some of his past tweets.
He's intolerant of religion for a start though it's only Christians he dares to denigrate.

And he loves to bait and attract the attention of his attack dogs fans to do the dirty work for him.
I suspect he has a PR person who keeps an eye on his twitter these days.

Iused2BanOptimist · 28/01/2019 12:37

Yes it is Happy.

BitterAndOnlySlightlyTwisted · 28/01/2019 12:39

"Rational thinking"?

Aren't these Humanist jokers on the trans-train as well?

"On 20 November Humanists UK will mark Trans Day of Remembrance for the first time in a specially created humanist ceremony organised by its section LGBT Humanists at the unconsecrated ‘Fitzrovia Chapel’, a secular space in central London."

Lovely people, obvs

OrchidInTheSun · 28/01/2019 12:45

I wonder if they also hold a special service of remembrance for the two women who are murdered each week? Or is that just so much part of the status quo, it's barely worth recording?

OrchidInTheSun · 28/01/2019 12:51

He hasn't deleted those ones. Girls in Niger are culturally different from ones in the U.K. apparently. Who knew that children's bodies are culturally determined? Hmm

Is this the chap who mentioned pissing in the eyes of bigots?

Terribly tolerant of him.

Mumfun · 28/01/2019 12:59

Humanists UK have totally gone over to the extreme Trans ideology and denied science. Their submission to the GRA was total self ID with no checks whatsoever and done by the LGBT section not even the main organisation.

Totally against the foundation of what being a Humanist is which is against ideology and pro science ie that women are adult human females. Lots of humanists have resigned and left. There has been a blame culture by top management very angry at any humanists who speak out. And some internal witch hunting (absolutely disgraceful)

Again to me this initiative shows the links between Trans ideology and paedophile apology which keep happening surprise surprise. The conversations on Twitter involving C Jessen and his support of men having sex with 12 year old girls is saved and is on the Haddock file put together by JSoosty. Now he is supporting the Transgender day. I would not be surprised if P Tatchell was there too (MN passim)

Igneococcus · 28/01/2019 13:11

Isn't Alice Roberts president of the humanist society?
Is she on Twitter? Maybe somebody could tweet her.

AspieAndProud · 28/01/2019 16:41

I’d love Alice to speak up in the matter.

Katispancuddly · 28/01/2019 16:48

What an utter prick

Why is it acceptable for him to say that?

AspieAndProud · 28/01/2019 16:48

I mentioned this on another thread but in the Christmas Lecture that Alice presented this year the other scientist (sorry, can’t remember her name) was asked to describe a hidden guest based on the information she got from her genome. First thing she established was her sex.

Melroses · 28/01/2019 17:04

Oh dear, oh dear ...

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 28/01/2019 17:09

Ok hands up now... who tweeted them?

BettyDuMonde · 28/01/2019 17:14

I’ve not forgiven him for his disparaging remarks about breastfeeding mothers (remarks that were in direct opposition to the WHO code) some years ago.

I had a humanist wedding, but fuck these guys now, just another boys club.

WrathofRancidKlopp · 28/01/2019 20:32

Imo humanists are the poster boy for liberal, anti religious, touchy feely "aren't we great" school of thought.

To believe that humans are more special than all other living beings is a tragedy for the planet. Billions of humans will eventually turn this planet into a toilet.

Give me spirituality, traditions, ancient myths and animism any day.
And respect for maternal power and fertility.

In theory anyway.
Says me on my laptop with a glass of prosecco. Grin

Bluestitch · 28/01/2019 20:39

Look up 'smug' in the dictionary and its a picture of his face. Urghh.

sackrifice · 28/01/2019 20:54

Lol.

Literally getting this ad at the bottom of this page.

WrathofRancidKlopp · 28/01/2019 21:03

I've been getting those ads for ages now. There're so annoying, I've managed not to click so far.

WrathofRancidKlopp · 28/01/2019 21:06

Sorry Betty
I didn't mean to be goady about your choice of wedding, I got a bit carried away there.

LynetteScavo · 28/01/2019 21:08

He has a funny name for a humanist. Just saying.

stillathing · 28/01/2019 22:23

oh. i've been quite enjoying those gay cruise ads!

SonicVersusGynaephobia · 28/01/2019 22:56

Gosh, I don't understand the Humanist UK position in this at all. I've just read their tweets and they are ALL about reality, rational thinking, and science. And anti religion and faith-based thinking. They talk about abortion in NI being something "women" need and how it's a Human Rights abuse.

And yet, they take the opposite position on gender ideology... It's so bizarre.

Are they trying to row back from that anti-women stance now? I saw a couple of tweets which suggest they're trying to take a more measured position.

SonicVersusGynaephobia · 28/01/2019 22:56

Sorry, forgot screenshots. These tweets.

Oh FFS. The Humanists? Isn’t Stewart Lee attached in some way to the Humanist Society? I would LOVE to know his thoughts on all this.
