The BBC QT feed on FB: I have to unfollow it, it's making me really angry.

Sonia Sodha is getting a pasting from misogynists for expressing her views by 'ranting', being 'neurotic' etc. She also got no boobs since she lost weight, 'I'd like to shave her eyebrows off'...

Brexit has brought a lot of 'unsayable' stuff to the surface, it's heinous.

There's a social science book I used to have, but I've lost it and can't remember the title. Its about how managers can make the workplace less stressful for employees by changing the culture.

The culture is more important to worker satisfaction and stress levels than anything else including (within reasonable limits) pay and conditions. And the change has to come from top down.
Management creates the framework and the majority of the workforce will keep within the limits imposed on them.

I wish I still had this book, or could replace it. Its like a warning for whats happening now.

I read Middle England by Jonathan Coe which gave me lots to think about in terms of how disenfranchised great swaths of the population have felt in the era of progressive/PC thinking.

The flip side is that Brexit and social media have allowed people to say what they want with no consequences, and society can't cope with it.

Fucking hell I used to work with Sonia and thought she did a brilliant job on Thursday. The place where we both worked would have researchers going on TV/radio to talk about issues and we sometimes used to get odd 'fanmail' afterwards. Intelligent, coherent women eh?
